Sigilock

Privacy shieldProtect by design.

Private, even whenyou look away.

Most leaks aren’t hacks. They’re a preview in the app switcher, a screenshot, a phone left unlocked on the table. The privacy shield covers those moments.

How it works

  1. 01

    App switcher

When you leave Sigilock, the app switcher shows a seal instead of your photos.

  2. 02

    Screenshots and recording

With Block screenshots on, as it is by default, screenshots and screen recordings of the vault are blocked.

  3. 03

    Auto-lock

Choose to lock immediately, after 1 minute or after 5 minutes in the background.

The leaks that aren’t hacks

Your phone takes a snapshot of every app you leave, to show in the app switcher. For most apps that’s harmless. For a photo vault it means your most private photo could be sitting in plain view the next time someone swipes up. Sigilock covers its screen with a seal the moment you leave, so the snapshot shows nothing.

Screenshots and screen recordings are the other quiet leak, especially with apps that record the screen in the background. With Block screenshots on, the vault refuses to be captured.

Locks itself, but not at the wrong moment

By default the vault locks the instant you leave it. If you switch apps often, choose 1 or 5 minutes instead. When Sigilock itself opens the photo picker, the camera or the share sheet, it knows you haven’t really left and keeps the vault open until you’re back, then goes on guarding it as usual.

No previews

Nothing private shows when you switch apps.

No captures

Screenshots and screen recordings of the vault are blocked.

No open doors

Leave the app and it seals itself behind you.

When it matters
You switch to Messages to reply to someone, then hand your phone over to show a photo. The app switcher shows only a seal, and the vault has already locked.

Privacy shield, answered.

Can I take screenshots of my own photos?

Yes, if you need to: switch off Block screenshots in Settings.

How quickly does the vault lock?

Immediately by default. You can choose 1 or 5 minutes instead if you switch apps often.

Does the shield work on Android too?

Yes. On both iPhone and Android the vault is hidden in the app switcher and screen captures are blocked.

Will the vault lock while I’m choosing photos to import?

No. While Sigilock’s own photo picker, camera or share sheet is open, the vault stays unlocked. It locks as usual once you really leave.

Is screenshot blocking on by default?

Yes. Block screenshots is switched on when you install Sigilock.

Can someone photograph my screen with another phone?

No app can stop a camera pointed at a screen. The shield covers leaks from the phone itself: previews, screenshots and recordings.
